I've listened to records for as long as I can remember. I grew up with my parent's Beatles lps and once I was tall enough to reach it, I got to use their record player. It was a Panasonic from the 70's with a strobe light. I loved setting the rotation speed and watching the little indicators line up. I must have played Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band a thousand times. I'd peruse my parent's collection seeing things like Yes, Crosby Stills & Nash, Neil Young and not even begin to understand what they'd mean to me today. Records embody this memory to me. I've casually bought them over the years; at local stores, local shows, on trips, but now I consider myself an avid record fan. I hardly ever buy cds anymore. I don't believe in purchasing to flip. I don't believe in collecting every different color of every repress of an album and never listening to them. I buy the records because I like them and I listen to them. I doubt I'll ever trade or sell a single record in my collection (sorry).
I run a classic Technics SL-Q3 through a Technics SA-AX7 Reciever with two Cerwin-Vega! E-712's.
I enjoy a broad range of music as you can see.
